Social area styled with layered natural textures — a curated mix of organic materials and handcrafted fibers that elevate coastal elegance.
Sophisticated spaces interweaving textures of wood, natural fibers, rattan, textiles, ropes, and stone gave this project its unique personality. Collaborating closely with local artisans and manufacturers to design custom pieces was essential in seamlessly articulating these materials into a flowless design.

A glimpse into the soul of the space — this moodboard captures the feeling, warmth, and intention behind the social area’s design journey.
Understanding technical specifications of materials in detail is essential to ensure they withstand usage conditions and the local climate variables. This approach allows us to maintain the concept and design intention of the space without compromise the life expectancy of the furniture, art and overall design.
TEXTURES AND MATERIALS IN A COASTAL DREAM HOME ARE THE STORYTELLERS, HARMONIZING WITH THE SEA BREEZE AND VIBRANT BEACHSIDE HUES OF COSTA RICA’S PARADISE.
The outdoor dining area flows effortlessly into the bar, grounded by raw stone in earthy tones — a tactile celebration of nature and refined leisure.
Terrace lounge designed for open-air living — featuring woven synthetic fiber seating and complementary teak wood pieces that bring natural elegance and effortless comfort outdoors.
The outdoor areas are distinguished by a more neutral palette. Finishes are a song of distinction, the exposed stone used in the bar area takes center stage, complemented by thatched cane ceilings to create a fresh and relaxing atmosphere.
The furniture features a blend of brown fabrics and brushed teak wood with a grayish tone, contrasting beautifully with the light palette.
The vertical wood slats behind the desk and bed mirror each other, bringing visual continuity and natural texture to the room.
Each secondary bedroom tells its own story through a unique color palette, layered with curated art and soft accents like custom cushions. Bathrooms feature bold accent tiles with organic patterns, adding sculptural character. A small, thoughtful workspace subtly connects to the bed’s wooden headboard through vertical slats — a seamless material dialogue. Inspired by coastal hues and resort living, every room was designed to offer the full comfort of a hotel with the warmth of home — a delicate balance that makes each space unforgettable.

Ceramic and glass details bring a refined, handcrafted glow — subtle highlights of texture and artistry.
Accessories and final touches are not just the end of a project — they’re the storytellers. In this home, handcrafted ceramic pieces bring balance and soul, while a live-edge wood mirror adds a sculptural break to the space’s clean lines. Each element was carefully chosen to speak with intention. Collaborating with local artists and artisans doesn’t just elevate the design; it fuels Costa Rica’s circular economy and gives voice to emerging and established talents whose passion becomes the final signature of the project.
